Pro Mod -63 Corvette

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

This project started 1½ year ago. I decided to make my own version of a 63 Corvette P/M body. That took a while...and after that, I cast it in resin. I started with AMTs 63 Corvette and used a donor body for the front extension.

Here is some pics of the work so far.

When the plug/master was done I made a matched mold.

To get the resin in to the mold I used a syringe...very simple, but it works.

Here is the casting #-01. It turned out very good!

WOW, amazing bodywork you've done. Thinking just, that it's started from original '63 Corvette. Then great castings, now you have lots of bodies, which means that we will see lots of '63 Corvette Pro Mods. :D Amazing job, can't wait to see more of your work.

I also built the 3 speed Lenco trans. Here I started with a gearbox from the partbox...(think it´s from Monograms Penzoil P/S)

I remember seeing this one on the other forum... It's great to see you posting your work on here. This vette is off to a great start, and after seeing you build the Nova, I now this one will be top shelf also, the chassis looks awesome...

Rickard... you have done some amazing work. That body looks great. Let me know if you ever get interested in selling them. I would pic one up for sure. I look forward to this build. I saw the build of your 66 Nova and that thing was beautiful. I am with others here saying you need to post some pics of it here. I will be following this build.

Just a small update,

I just finished the clutch bellhousing. I used one from a Revell topfuel engine, but it needed some modifications.

I painted it with a coat stainless steel (Model Master Metalizer).

After some gentle buffing and micro detailing it turned out like this...

About the resin bodies they are all sold out  ...maybe I will cast some more in the future.
