Guest
I was inspired by a build here that someone did in Plum Crazy with ralley wheels. This is a phantom Dodge Deora R/T that perhaps Dodge may have done back in the day.
Jairus
Looks logical in layout and very production worthy. Nice!
FASTBACK340
Although I'm not a big fan of Mopar's Hi-Impact greens, it works here. It also opens new doors for an ancient kit. T/A version anyone?
george 53
Great idea Lee. I like how you put doors on it! THAT came out REAL nice. Looks like it coulda been done. :D
roadhawg
Looks even better than I expected, Lee! Excellent job, very cool idea!
Mike Kucaba
Times too here on the doors.Nice job on the scribing. What was your method? How about another in Bright yellow with a Bumble Bee theme, black stripe at the back etc.
Chuck Most
Looks very production-worthy, though I think Dodge would have gotten rid of the Ford wagon liftgate as the windshield! Love these kinds of "what if" builds.
Guest Johnny
I have seen so many variations of this model built I have lost count!!! and I loved every one of them! Cool concept on a concept!
diymirage
looks good, i like it i really should get my outdoors deora going again too http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=38980&hl=outdoors&fromsearch=1 just one question though, why no front grille ? diymirage
There is a grill between the lower set of headlights, behind the turn signals. but there is nothing between the headlights and it just looks like its missing something (to me)
Sam Cates
Very nice build, color suits it well, seeing all of the recent Deora builds makes me want to grab one from my shelves and get going on it.
bsoder
Hey Lee...looking at your build got me thinking I didn't really know much about the Deora, so I found a good article about it's history, and kinda sorta it was a Chrysler production truck...ok a weee bit modified and using a number of Ford parts and it had a slant 6 but it looks like you have an 8 sitting in just fine!..that looks really cool in the R/T scheme
Tony T
Nice, Lee!! Looks like it could have been in a dealership of the day.
426-Hemi
The "Deora" was NEVER a production model in real life! It was a custom truck done by the Alwexander Brothers from a '64 Dodge A100 truck plateform! Production Dodge Deora? MAY have been a great idea! I'm building a model of this and that yellow they painted it WTH ugly!? I LIKE the Sassy Grass Green one someone done! I making mine Mopar Turquoise (like the engine color) slightly lightened with a black center stripe with the "silver" one down the center of the black! Maindrian Pace
I like it! Love the stock small block, the wheels, and the doors. I'm thinking that a well designed, factory looking R/T graphics/stripe package would be cool too. -MJS
bobthehobbyguy
Very unique build idea. Love it.
