This is my daily driver

4SA.jpg

I have been looking for one of these though

84wbmain1.jpg

It's been two years and no luck. I thought I found one once but it was a fake and have found 5 other fakes or people with no clue like a SC being sold as a Wide Body, no real ones, and would rather not get a Turbo, not withstanding the are still about 10K more than a non turbo car $30-40K

What is so special about this one you might ask. It is a 84-88 Carrera SC with a 491 option, which is the "Turbo Look" wide body, turbo suspension, turbo brakes and wheels without the turbo. Only 1184 were made.

I guess my next best option is just to get a SC coupe, but even those are hard to find. I find lots of Targas but coupes perferably without a sunroof :D .

Someday I will find it, and build a moderenized 934 like car.

It's painted, and in real life it's not that shiny. I think the camera flash makes it look shinier than it really is. In reality it's sort of between flat black and semi-gloss.

Ah, glad to hear that you had it painted, those vinyl stickers just never look "right" to me. The flash did make it look kinda photo shopped though for some odd reason.

Yeah, there seems to be nothing but Targas here too. I prefer the look of the coupe, not that I could afford to run either :D

My daily driver, 1996 Jaguar Sovereign, 5-speed manual with 73k miles.

This is part of our "fleet":

071902-vi.jpg

The hot rod is a '28 Ford Model A, lakes modified. (Not a T-bucket, and not a track T like most people think it is) :D

The Mustang is an '02 that I bought new when I worked at a Ford dealership. It's my fair weather car.

The '47 Mercury coupe is the car my wife usually drives to shows and on runs, etc. It's definitely a long term work in progress.

My wife also has an '04 Focus that's her daily driver. We don't have any photos of it.

And then here is the workhorse:

041302-vi.jpg

It's a '95 F-250, with the 7.3 turbo diesel, getting real close to 180,000 miles now.

It pulls the trailer, obviously, when we take the hot rod to out-of-town shows. But it's also my daily driver in crappy weather, the Home Depot, Evergreen Nursery, and anything else hauler. It rarely gets washed, gets minimum service, and just keeps on getting down the road. And comfortable. I have driven this truck for as long as 14 hours at time when driving cross-country. Great truck!

Here's my '98 Ford Ranger in Superior, AZ in October 2009. It only has 75,000 miles on it- it runs and drives great!

Here's my '71 Delta 88 Town Sedan. I take it out about once a month and scare the Honda drivers with it.

It's got a 350, but, by my estimates, it's putting almost as much HP as a stock 455 with the changes I've made.

Swapped the stock 2bbl carb for a 4bbl Quadrajet

Added an Edelbrock Performer intake manifold

Dual Flowmaster exhaust

High performance air cleaner

HEI distributor, plugs and wires

All of this probably brings the stock 260HP up to close the 455's 350HP.

At any rate, in spite of its size it's a pretty quick car. It'll run a quarter in about 15 seconds in second gear at around 75 mph.

That turbo VW Passat should be called a Pass-It, since I'm sure that's what it does to most other cars!

The Dodge Charger or the Chrysler 300 are two of the few cars I might consider trading Olds for. Awsome styling!

That is probably because who wants one.

They are heavier, flex more, and leak water. Pass.
