I’m reading all the posts and how to make scribing tools but can’t find the photos that go along with the posts… either I’m missing something or the photos have a certain lifespan…???

Hosting sites for certain pics might have changed since this was posted. This goes back to 2007 and even as recently as a couple years ago, those pics may have migrated elsewhere.

I've tried scribing the panel line on a few models with not much success.  I think the first time I tried it I didn't scribe deep enough and ran the #11 blade (back side of an old blade) out of the grove in a couple places.  The second time around I bought some scribes at HL and they seem to work fine but the end result showed nothing.  My final attempt I ended up making the door gaps in certain area's wider and I didn't like how it looked.  I was scribing the panel line before I primed the body.  I guess I just don't have the patience for it.  I was at HL yesterday looking over the models at 40% off and I wondered over to the pen section in the store and found this pen with a 0.1mm tip.  It was only $3.99 so I thought I would try it.  I like how it turned out on an old body but not sure if I will use this or keep practicing with the scribe method.
