V-LOW
This is my latest project. It's a AMT 1950 Ford Convertible kit. I want to convert it in to a hard top 2 door sedan and try to make it original or mild custom. Here are some pics of the roof: Edited January 25, 2012 by V-LOW
Dr. Cranky
Looking good. Where are you getting the roof from?
V-LOW
It's the soft top from the kit.
Dr. Cranky
Wow, sanded smooth. I get it, it would have never dawned on me to do that. No wonder it's a perfect fit. Very cool.
espo
At one time this kit had a hardtop in stock and chopped top. Looks nice, I looking to see how this turns out.

jaymcminn
I like the idea of doing a Tudor sedan- you never see that body style in scale.

V-LOW
The roof is finished and the silver base coat is already applied. The color for this model is going to be a dark metallic blue (Tamiya TS-51). This is almost the same as the factory color Sheridan Blue. Here are some pictures of the roof:
V-LOW
In this update you see the first color layer (clear coat is coming soon). The interior and engine are finished. I've messed up the front seat a bit, but I've fixed it with some scale brochures of Ford.
