Well been building for quite a few years, but have never tried a work in progress, so here it is to give it a go. Got the Revell 2010 Ford Shelby GT500 for Christmas and started working on it right away.

Decided to look through the site for some tips and techniques to apply to this build. Here are a few shots of the initial engine build up:

Comments welcomed as I have already learned some new techniques through reading the forums. I am thinking that with the size of this, it is begging for a little detailing. More to follow.

A little more work on the rear end. Decided to cut off the molded springs and create some with the bead wire.

All put together but still in need for a little touch up.

For the labels, I found some barcode samples on the net and use reference pictures (as well as looking underneath my own mustang) to print them out on regular paper. Glued them on with craft glue. Tried doing a decal but the look did not seem to line up with some of the reference pictures out there.

Thanks for the comments and any suggestions, feel free to throw them out there.

Been a couple of weeks, but finally got the suspension together, the brakes built, and the engine bay touched up.

Used the tutorial on the italianhorses.net for the vented brakes. Not as good as what was produced on that site, but not as bad as it could have been.

Used some spare wire in wire tie, beading wire, guitar string, and styrene to wire up the engine using some different reference pics around the net.

Woah Woah, woah, Serious question, am I looking at the real engine,or the engine from the kit? Outstanding work!!! Where did you get the barcode tags, exhaust tags behind the mufflers and the ford motorsports emblem for the oil filter!!!!!

EDIT: Nevermind !! In all my excitement I failed to see the answer already posted lol, sorry.
