Does anybody know a good book or website about drag racing cars? As far as I know, this type of racing doens't exist in Belgium but I'm starting to like it. So I'm looking for a book or website with information and references for a newbie (car specifications, the different types of cars ... ) since I don't know anything about it. Any suggestions?

Grtz

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drag_racing

that should get you started....just start reading (these are very brief explanations) and then when you want to know more about something, just google that term....luckily, it's a very popular autosport....(no matter what NASCAR says, Drag Racing is the biggest autosport in terms of contestants)

Kevin, thanks for the links. It has some good basic information

Wayne, thanks for the website but I had already found that one. Before I posted my question I googled 'drag racing book', but there are soooo many of them. It's pretty difficult to just choose one. I hoped that someone could recommend one, or two, or more :D

Cor, heres a few titles of books that I have in my collection. Now you will notice that I'm mainly into Funny Cars (Pro-Mods now also, but no books on Pro-Mods in my collection), so here they are : Funny Cars, Funny Car Fever, Drag Racing Funny Cars of the 60's, Drag Racing Funny Cars of the 70's (the only thing wrong with these last 2 books 60's-70's, are they are printed in black & white, no color pictures, but some great photros none-the-less),Fabulous Funny Cars, Diggers-Funnies-Gassers & Alterds & finally American Drag Racing. All those books are great reading. Hope this helps you a little.
