Daddyfink
The Chevette was raced/rallied across the pond back in the day. That is pretty cool! And would make an interesting build.
Draggon
That is pretty cool! And would make an interesting build. Looks a whole lot better as a Vauxhall, too!
unclescott58
I've had several friends who owned Chevettes and a T-1000 over the years. They were cheap and okay looking to some degree. But, they all very good and reliable cars. I actually respect them. At the same time the only model I have of a Chevette is the promo of a '79 I bought new back in 1979. If the kit was reissued I'd probably buy one. But, I'm chomping at the bit to get my hands on one. A Vega on the hand.... The Vega was not as good of a car as the Chevette. But, it looked a lot better. Especially the early versions with small bumpers. Scott

The T-car had so many variations worldwide..the Isuzu one (which was sold in the US as the Buick Opel then the i-Mark), ..Daewoo had one in S. Korea...Holden in Australia, many variations in S. America...a true world car. Many body styles.. 2dr sedan, 4dr sedan, 5 dr hatch, 3 dr hatch, 3dr wagons, sedan deliveries... This Bedford Chevanne is neat.. Atmobil
Yeah, I could have wanted to have a resinconversion kit with different front and rear ends plus different wheels, interiors, engines and badges so that one could convert the Chevette kit in to one of the other versions, and yeas I do wish the Chevette to be reissued. unclescott58
In South America, GM also made a Chevette/T-body El Camino like pickup truck. Chevette was in some ways GM's first true world car. Like I said earlier, I admire the Chevette. It was a fairly good cheap car. And it was cool in all the variarations that were offered around the world. Someday Chevette will get the respect it deserves. Scott

spencer1984
The "Weirdest Kit" thread had me looking through my stash, and I found a few that weren't necessarily weird but were definitely not common: ...and a few where the boxes have been lost or destroyed:

Earl Marischal
I built one of these in the early 1970s when it came out. Mine was done as a rally service 'barge' (as the support vehicles were known then). steve
chunkypeanutbutter
I thought Archie drove a red '65 Mustang convertible. And that 2CV would make a mean hot rod or gasser.
