Stripping Testors Enamel

Recommended Posts

I know this question has been asked a million times, but here goes...... I have a frame I painted with Testor's Gloss Black Enamel out of the rattle can and I'm not happy with the results. What is the best way to strip it without damaging the part? Is Simple Green effective?

Testors paint is fairly easy to strip, Purple Power, Castrol Superclean, LA's Totally Awesome, and oven cleaner are some of the many options. I imagine Simple Green would work, try testing it on a scrap piece of plastic to be sure it is safe first.
