1964 Falcon Futura

Cool new section! I'm getting in on the ground floor here.

This is a Yat Ming 1:18 Falcon. When this car came out, I did a series of them in different forms. I used a resin tear drop hood and 427 fender flags that I make, a resin 427 SOHC engine that is sold as a Christmas tree ornament, and the wheels and front and rear frame clips from a Hot Wheels Thunderbird.

Roll cage is Plastruct rod, seats are from the T-bird, some aluminum tubing, sheet styrene, misc parts box items, headliner from thin card board, BMF around the windows. Paint was a hassle to strip, I don't know what they use, but it's THICK and took several applications of Jasco with coarse steel wool. New paint is Krylon orange from the can. I didn't go overboard with details, these are fun quick builds usually done standing at the (real) car shop work bench.

I love this Falcon!! Im working on 1 myself right now, doing a pro-touring look. I would love to get my hands on 1 of those hoods & some of those emblems. Do you offer the fender badges in SOHC or just a 427 version? Again, great falcon. B)

Sounds great, keep us updated. The fender badges are the regular 427 style. The hood kit comes with the badges and a piece of photoetch mesh to make the air outlet screens.

New here, so I apologize for the late contribution.

Biante, a brand out of Australia, took this mold and created a racing version.  Not sure how many are familiar with the success that the Falcon had in Europe, as well as Australia and other British countries.

Here are some comparison pictures between the domestic SunStar version, and the pond-crossing Biante version.

I have a spare of the Biante, and the decal sheet, to turn it into this Alan Mann version.
