hudson uptop

Would it be safe to say that the original top material was what we call a "Hartz" top? Almost like a suede type?

Correct. Most American convertibles up until the early-mid 1950s used Haartz (with two "a"s) canvas. I believe the canvas top option on the present-production Chrysler 200 (in place of the vinyl) is also made by Haartz.

i got it! thought we put it on the website, but we musta forgot to.

Vince,

I have one of Jeff's Hudson up-tops for the Hudson convertible! What can I say about it except that it's one of the most perfect resin pieces I have ever seen (and I've seen lots of resin, even made a lot of resin parts). Be sure to catch up with Jeff at NNLE and snag that convertible up top--you will NOT be disappointed.
