Mike
This was a fun little kit to build. My friend Mark and I squared off building the same kit in competition for fun. I wanted to keep the build stuck in the 70's, so the earthtone paint scheme came of age. I didn't test fit the hood before anything , so I have to fix that so it clears the air cleaner hose. I also added Shabo tire decals. Anyway, here it is
KENNEDYJR
Hey that looks good. It nice to see someone building that kit, I never see those built up anywhere. You did a good job, captures the 70s.
Fisher61
Nice clean build! I remember alot of 79's in that color scheme when they were new.
LT
Nice job. That color combination definitely has a 70's flavor to it.
lonewolf
Nice clean looking build Mike. I posted this a couple of days ago, but it dissapeared. I wish I could find a kit of a Firebird in the same model year, since I owned the 1:1 for 8 years.
my name is nobody
Terrific Build! That looks real enough to start up and peel out. and I too, remember those cars well. lots of folks had them. a friend of mine in the Army had one in the early eighties....... it was a puke pastel green with a green interior. Jim Whalen
Yup, definitely a '70s vibe going there! Nice build, pity the hood fouls on the air intake. I was in Canada during that time period so your model brings back memories of seeing cars like that for me as well.
