Saw this on ebay http://www.ebay.com/...=item4605f9bf92 I didn't even know that Revell was making this kit. I thought Moebius was the only one producing a Lonestar kit.

That is the Moebius kit- Revell AG worked out a deal to rebox it and sell it in their packaging.

Michigan Madman is correct. R of G kit is the Moebius kit with a bigger price tag. Deal is most likely way for Moebius to get overseas distribution.

Aha! I thought it looked exactly like the Moebius kit! Why would Moebius need to go through Revell to get overseas distribution?

Revell Germany is an established brand, which pretty much dominates the European market.

I'm sure Moebius is selling more trucks through Revell, then they would under their own name here.

It's a win win for both companies.

BTW price wise they're 'bout the same....again here on the old continent.

Yep seems like R of G kits are much more affordable in Europe. R of G also sold Italeri kits under their name.

I've heard that thr RoG decals are much more detailed that the Moebius decals. Is that true?

Are the instructions any better in the Revell AG kit? That was the one thing I didn't like about the original Moebius kit- the instrucion sheet was a bit 'murky' in a few areas.

Wonder if the LoneStar P/E will fit the ProStar, or if they'll make a new one.
