Revell '56 Nomad

I haven't built this one yet either..........but looking at the kit it seems the way to go would be to shave the trailing edge of the pan back a bit until it sits right in the front end. Should be an easy fix. :D

That's one of those "How'd they miss that??" things that makes more work than needed.

The front bumper should need no work as it was the pan that made it look like a battering ram! :D

Just bought the Revell '56 Nomad and the front bumper and pan seems to stick out farther than it does on the 1:1 Nomads. Anybody know the fix to this? :)

IIRC I removed about 3mm from the back edge of the pan, test-fitting it and the bumper against the body until it looked right.

I have a stalled project which is a combination of the standard 56 Nomad and an original 56 California Wheels sedan. I wanted the lower stance from the sedan (before they issued a Nomad version).

A plus is the sedan has a revised bumper mount which fixes the problem. I think it should be relatively easy to modify the Nomad parts, especially if you have a sedan as reference........

I will get back to that ....one day!

Yes, they fixed it after first issue. CW issue was fine IIRC, I did the original plus tudor CW pan and suspension, never finished it, then bought Nomad CW and it was fine. Nice kits, 55 Pace and upcoming 57 convertible hopefully will be good.
