340-6
Lotus has always been my favourite european car manufacturer. They have always managed to create awesome and fast cars by making them light: ...or just by doubling the power: (If i could get that engine and bodykit for my Omega, i could die a happy man...) So, what If Lotus had produced a special version of Ford Capri? Couple of weeks ago I received this Doysha kit: When I bought the kit, I knew It would not be excactly top-of-the-notch quality, but still I was quite shocked when I first opened the box. Chassis is terrible: Interior is non-existent and grille is unusable: There wasn't any kind of engine in the kit, but I'm going to use this resin Lotus Engine: The Kit wheels are as terrible as rest of the kit, so im using these wheels: Rims are from Hasegawa Stratos and tires are from Fujimi 911. Body is cleaned and primed. I already cut open the hood: The Body will be painted white with black hood. Maybe some green stripes? But First I need to scratch build the Interior and Engine bay.... patami
You have a ton of work in front of you. But dont let that bother you. If you wanna gonna make a better chassis i sugest to use a mustang one to customize. One guy on a Finnish site did that. I can look for the pics for you if you like. 340-6
Thanks Doc & Patrik! I've seen the Capri you're talkin 'bout, but thanks for reminding me. I'll propably find the pics myself if i need them. Im not going to make a detailed chassis on this model, I'll focus on the engine bay and Interior Instead. I made some progress on the model. I went medieval with the kits chassis plate, and now i can start working on the engine bay. I also started modifying the grille.
W-409
That interior made me laugh... I thought that Doysha Chevy Monza kit had very bad interior, but that's even worse! Anyway, I'm sure you'll do good work with this one as always. I'll be following this one very closely.
