matthijsgrit
Where can I get a complete twin turbo setup for a (Chevy LS series) V8? Not just the turbo's but the works (like the right headers for example). MG
george 53
Not to be mean, Matthijis, But to be honest with you, I don't think ANYONE makes that set up. Get the Turbo's from Shucky(Mike de Luca)here, an just plumb the rest of it yourself. Get some good refrence pics an just go for it!
Rob Hall
About the only thing I can think of were some of the MPC 3rd gen Firebird (and maybe Camaro) kits in the 80s that came w/ turbo options for V8s, but they were kind of cheesy... The 1/24 Monogram '69 Camaro (and I think some issues of the '56 Chevy) had a twin turbo setup with twin-turbo specific manifolds for the SBC, but as Rob said, accuracy and fidelity were not its strong points. Ace-Garageguy
The Monogram Callaway Corvette Speedster twin-turbo setup would be a fairly easy conversion. The port spacing on the exhaust and intake manifolds is wrong for an LS, but it's do-able.

Not familiar w/ that one...I've always avoided the Monogram 1/24th '69 Camaro....
matthijsgrit
I know about the Camaro (horrible!) and the Callaway (great, but tucked way too far to the under side of the engine). I'm looking for a more modern setup... What kind of tubing would one suggest for fabricating this myself? Thanks!
Ace-Garageguy
For exhaust headers and systems I've been experimenting lately with 4043 aluminum TIG welding rod of the correct scale diameter. I don't have the techniques all worked out yet, but it bends fairly easily, doesn't collapse like tubing, it holds its shape, doesn't go dull or poison you like lead solder, and will polish up like chrome. Casey
This isn't going to help Matthijs, but Hobby Lobby carries a nice, bendable metal rod which is great for use on scale projects.
