Brizio
Here a few more progress... The interior almost done... Made the shelf that goes on the passenger side. The body painted. Doors... Inside of the passenger door, I need to finish the interior for the driver door. Here the decals that came with the kit, you can see that the red stripes works only on the side, and there is not enough for the rear. Same issue for those blue white red, there is a piece more, but it goes on the hood, so noting again for the rear.

Brizio
I did some more work yesterday... Finished the dashboard, ok it needs the steering... I made a radio, because the Jeep (real and model) doesn't have it. I saw a nice DJ-5 with a radio on the sun visor, so I stolen the idea... And here finally the body met the chassis... After that I put all the mail inside.

Brizio
A little step... The parking light guard... Looks a easy thing to do, but it is not, the front part it is bent in 4 places! I draw this for explain how the parking light guard is... The parking light that are on the kit are a piece of white resin, I replace them with some I had on my spare parts. Before paint the body I drill new holes for the parking light. Here how they are on the kit. And here on the new position, more on the edge of the fender. Austin T
Thats to cool, what did you make the bags for the letters out of?
Brizio
Thats to cool, what did you make the bags for the letters out of? Thank you! The bags are from a piece of elastic. The headlight lens are not clear... I try to put different surfaces under them, like silver, chrome for see if they looks good, but they don't look. The lens looks flat, or like when you drop superglue on a piece that is clear. I think to use some headlight that I have on my spare parts, that they are perfect clear. But I need to resize them... :-/ Her the lens from the kit and the "new" one. bottom left the kit, top left the New one, top right kit, and bottom the new lens. Look a the difference. Here the headlight finished, I add the back part, some chrome in the middle and the bezel. The kit doesn't have door handle, here they are. ;D
VW Dave
I'm totally taken by this thread, especially by the ton of added details....turning that very poor resin kit into a highly detailed model is nothing short of amazing!
Erik Smith
I really like this build. The only thing I like better is the attitude you seem to have - the kit has no door handles, so, I'll make some. We can all learn quite a bit by everything going on here. Thank you VW Dave! I just finish it, and a the end it was totally fun build it! I really like this build. You need to have this attitude not only on a model, but also on the life. For this build also helped me the reply on the forum, people encouraging me to go forward. Many times I though to trash this kit.
