JollySipper
I'm hoping to make this my next project. Would I start with a red and try to fade it? This will be my first shot at any major weathering, so any and all advise is greatly appreciated....
MAGNUM4342
Hah! At first glance I thought it was Fred Sanford's truck! I'll let Doc and the weathered experts take a crack at this one, but i'm going to watch. I've got a Beverly Hillbillies truck that could use some work. JollySipper
Sanford's truck.... thats pretty good! Actually this is Cherry Bomb's work truck... Guys, I'll be using a resin cab and plastic bed if that makes a difference......
Fat Brian
Will you be using cans or an air brush?
JollySipper
More than likely I will be using one of those small aerosol cans with the jar attachment on the bottom, that way I can spray acrylic without having an airbrush..... unless the technique would be achieved better with spray cans? Ace-Garageguy
I hope you get answers from some of the builders on this forum who are patina masters. Dr. Cranky and bryan_m come to mind. VW Dave
Random wetsanding and DullCote are a good way to go.....and probably not far off from how the real truck was done
