Super clean '68  F 100 longbed DeKerry, thanks for posting. Great  detailed shots. Yes, firewalls on '67-'72 pickups are body color, not black.  Also, Ford had an interesting way of contrasting interior colors. If truck is medium or lighter blue, the dash, steering column and door panels are darker blue. Same goes for reds and greens. White trucks came in a different variety of  interior colors.

Love those buckets, Kerry. Did you ever consider a wimbledon white roof and lower to set off that harbor blue?

Wish my '68 was that nice ^_^

mike

Hey Mike, originally it had the white upper roof and lower under the belt line... It was re painted once and just shot in the blue..

She looks good at a thirty foot glance, but not so when ya get close to her.... Drivers bed side shows some rust coming through. Front cab mounts are going and the inner wheel wells and core support are pretty bad... We have those three parts ready to go in from a truck in Cali.. Need to get cab mounts and complete brake system fixed first though!!!!! Some year??!!

Here's a pic (wish it was my truck) showing measurements taken from my own '68 to help with building the recent kit...

With some slick superficial modifications, the Ford engineers were able to carry the basic superstructure of this cab forward to use for the 73-79 style cycle.

The windshield, cowl, floor pan, chassis are basically carried over and the roof top area and crown are nearly identical. Even the upper cowl has the same contours and measurements on the 1:1 trucks.  The character lines at the hood/cowl interface are the same width at 55". AMT did an excellent job in capturing the proportions in their F350 cab, aside from the upper windshield molding height.

Thanks for sharing this detailed info Oldmopars, great stuff! Here is a '67, note painted grills were standard up to early '69, then anodized aluminum became standard. 1969 was the last year for standard white painted front bumpers, 1970 chrome front bumper was standard. equipment. F 250 4x4's used leaf spring front ends.

How about some Brazilian variants?  These were produced from 1979 to well into the '90s.

Brazil, along with Argentina and other South American countries have had a number of aftermarket companies making a variety of locally-designed crewcab and SUV body styles.  (Note that Brazil's model changes were quite different from the US and Argentina, while Argentina's model changes seemed to mirror the US more closely.  Brazil never got the US '61-'66 generation, for instance, while Argentina did.)

Some coachbuilders offered a Bronco-style SUV:
