Chuck Most
Who's Chuck Most ? Me. And the one in my backyard isn't as nice. Yes, I do have a C-series in my back yard... Pierre- I LOVE how this one is coming together! I stashed five or six of these kits when they came back out, but so far I haven't yet built a weathered one. Dominik
Hi Pierre, the same Kit is waiting on my bench to get started. I had the same idea, to make a "workaholic"-truck. But not sure this time, how far i will go with it. Just make an exercise on another truck. your cabine looks great - the weathering is perfect! what will you do with the chromeplated parts? Piero
The truck is almost finished...

I'll be happy to see another version of that kit. The chrome parts are rusty or painted.
Piero
What do you think about the stake bed ? Looks old wood no ?
72 Charger
That wood looks good but with a truck that looks that old surely some of that wood would have been broken split or just lost?
Piero
Yes you're right... A part of the stake is lost, but I think I'll break another...

Nice job on this build, I would suggest some more dullcote on those fuel tanks, still too shiny!

Piero
Well guys, I've finished my truck ! Some pictures... leave your comments... : Under the cab there are some details we don't see very well, wires, dirty rag... With some stuff... : And the truck has taken place in my junkyard diorama : Edited November 1, 2012 by Piero
mikemodeler
What does mean dullcote ? There is a product called dullcote that can be sprayed on a shiny surface to make it appear dull or less shiny. There are typically 4 levels of clear one can spray on a surface: 1. High Gloss- for the shiniest of finishes, mainly on show cars 2. Gloss- for a shiny surface finish, usually used to replicate a factory paint job. 3. Semi-gloss- for those parts that typically have a little shine to them, like chassis parts, underhood, etc. 4. Flat or dullcote- these are parts that have no shine to them. Hope this helps! Old Albion
I like this alot. It certainly looks like its had a hard life. If you try and get some photo's outside in natural light the diorama would look real. Great work. Dave
