Gluhead Posted October 22, 2012 Share Posted October 22, 2012 Funny, I thought "Don't call it a rat rod" was the mantra of the traditional hot rodders, used out of frustration when the unedumakated or trendster masses call their period or period inspired hot rods by the dirty word. "rat rod", "pro touring", "pro street", "g-machine". i personally don't care, the guy enjoys it. to me, its a "rat rod". my personal opinion is that he should have left it the way it was!! If I build the same vehicle but use a non traditional body and bed (say a 50 Chevy truck) it's called a rat rod even if its fully finished and "shiny"?
