The body of one will become a clean Stone-Woods-Cook Swindler II, without the compromises of the original kit's (much as I love it) klugey door and hood hinges, using the original kit for all the guts, decals, etc. Tons of other parts besides the bodies, so I'm happy. Another almost two complete kits in this box, again a whole lotta parts to build other stuff, one nice body and chassis for a custom canyon-carver, and another body for a flip-top drag car. The bids might have been low because the shipping was almost 20.00. When the box arrived, I understood why. This is a big kit. The idea is that you can assemble different body panels to make several variations on a car. I played with it a bit. Aside from the "calculator" to help decide combinations there were no instructions. It is basically large pin and tab system, but you have to figure out the order. The parts don't really want to stay together. Update: A search on youtube turned up a video on a complete kit with instructions. One rainy day I'll pull it out an build a couple really big cars. Pyro sold a bunch of those; they're all over eBay, and I see a lot of them at swap meets. I suspect that doing them in 1/25 scale might have required them to at least make the parts look like they'd assemble a recognizable vehicle or two. Compared to the whimsical "25,000" variations you get out of this...1/14ish scale toy. Probably was a hoot to have as a kid, now it's a very interesting conversation piece if nothing else. Nice marketing for both sides, but I'd love to know which computer boffin whose day job was to design parts of the SAGE air defense system was asked to take a look at the little cardboard toy... and exactly what he (or she) "validated"... best, M. But I respectfully suggest you either make molds of it or get somebody to do it for you. If it's acetate, it's just a matter of time before it shrinks more, warps, and eventually crumbles. Nobody makes a stock '58 wagon that I know of, and it might be a good seller as a resin kit. Too bad it doesn't have the interior, but I notice the ones with interiors seem to warp/shrink more (As it is, the front and rear bumpers will have to be narrowed + - 1/8" to line back up with the body).
