I've had problems in the past with BMF and now use a plumbers chrome tape, slightly thicker and more durable. It doesn't tend to tear. I placed an order about a week ago and i've heard nothing since It took 9 calendar days from order acknowledgement until shipping notice. The shipping notice went into a folder other than my primary one in my gmail so I actually didn't see it right away.

The store had 2 of those '70 Galaxie Taxis on the shelf and I bought both. I really like the luggage and the decals. Between the old Model King Police issues, the AMT-ERTL Police re-issue, the 007 cop car and this one, I think I have 8 of those '70 Galaxie kits now. I've always planned to use 2 of them to build a Russian Embassy mini-limousine, as seen in the movie "Falcon and the Snowman." I even found some info about those cars on the internet. They were stretched and modified by a company in Mexico City that also built airport limos and other custom jobs. Really liked that movie...so much I bought the DVD. Memorable music score....and David Suchet was great as the Soviet embassy guy. In a role reversal he played the father of the H Bomb Dr.Edward Teller in the PBS "Oppenheimer" mini series starring Sam Waterston in the title role.

ewetwo
I think this is a model but I’m not sure. It looks to be missing a lower front piece. Something at the base if the windshield. And 2 hub caps. The the valve cover says Corvette Four Rotor. Anyone know anything about it? Edited July 15, 2021 by ewetwo

I've never seen one before aside from pics in the catalogue. BTW, Revell has a kit of the same car but with a regular V8 engine it was updated with in 1/25. So this one with the Corvette Four Rotor would be the earlier version? Edit.. I just checked on eBay and there is only one and it's yellow. At least I now know that I need the 2 wipers. The 2 grills and the front roll pan. Funny. It's not glued or anything. Must have been some sort of snap kit. sfhess
I have one of the Lindberg 4-rotors in my collection somewhere. In the mid 70s GM brought out two concept cars using rotary engines in a mid-engine configuration. One of them was this car, with a 4-rotor Wankel rotary engine, the other with a 2-rotor engine. Rumor had it that the 2-rotor car was based on a Porsche 914 platform. The original AMT 74 Chevy Monza kit had a "custom" version that looked a lot like the 2-rotor car. CabDriver
Been watching for one of these (the full detail version rather than the snap kit) at a decent price for a while…grabbed this one one on the bay for fifteen bucks: Another one for my Boyd collection…need to find some Chezoom Teal paint for it now! I think my favorite local toy show vendor has been sitting on one of these for several months at a reasonable price...I built the snapper and also have a nice diecast in 1/25 so haven't really paid that much attention to it. I THINK the Chezoom Teal is still in the Testor line, hiding in the "little bottle" line as just "Teal." If it's not exactly the same thing, it looks very, very similar. Yes, it's metallic/pearl.
