Got this stuff yesterday . The Duplicolor 1k clear from Walmart on line . The Testors Wet Look Clear from HL on line .  The car body is a 1/32 scale printed item . 1939 Willys for a slot car . The widows are just patterns so you can cut them from clear sheet .

Have wanted a 76 glasshouse for years but never been able to find one, got lucky and found a couple recently.

Also got some more things from Plaza Japan. My LB Works R35 GT-R collection is complete now.  And can never resist getting more wheels to add to the collection.

That's pretty cool Luke. I think it must be time for that Chevy kit to be reissued again. They certainly seem to be unusually popular for a '70s car.

I'm kind of fond of them as I had a real one.

BTW, when building, remember the A-pillars on all '70s GM full size cars, including these Chevys was completely covers with a bright trim piece, no paint showing like on the boxes.

WizPorsche944, how is the revell 914/6 kit? I really like that car

I would not recommend the Revell Porsche 914. Built one a few years ago and it is the closest I ever came to throwing a half finished model against the wall ! Can't remember particular problems perhaps because one tends to put bad memories out of ones mind. I do remember it had numerous fit problems. In the end it did get finished but to this day it sits near the back of my display cabinet.

On paper, this should’ve been a great kit.  Boyd Coddington, hot rod wizard, a man with a real eye for styling, stance and proportion (not to mention a killer paintjob) teams up with AMT.

And what we got was this:

Oof.

Still, nothing a change of wheels won’t help immensely - another one for my Boyd collection that I’m slowly piecing together via eBay

That's basically the old MPC Switchers kit (which has its good points) with good wheels removed and goofy wheels added. I have one and wish I'd bought a couple more when they were cheap.

Most of those Switchers had some  very redeeming qualities about them I remember buying the Model T (sedan?) when they were originally released. I have one of the later reissues of the '32, now. It's been oft-said that they were overlooked because they were deemed "gimmicky".

Interestingly, this kit has the grill for a Model A on the parts tree - not sure if that was intended as an option part for THIS kit, or if it shared a parts tree with another of theirs...

Another one for my home museum of oddball built-up models.

Here we have a ‘63(?) Mercury Comet with a custom front & rear clip. It was advertised as a “Vintage Ford Custom”, but I knew right away from the rear fins that it had to be a Comet, so I took a chance on it.😆

That looks like a fabulous "survivor resto" project. Clean it up as is, maybe do the chrome window trim. Or if you want to blend the custom parts in a little better, you could do that and then easily re-shoot it in the satin black. Great find, congratulations! B)

The Comet is a '62, it's the Stylizing kit that came in the box with a cellophane window for viewing the parts inside.  Cut off the folding lid, and the box could be used as a display case.  Those custom parts were in the kit.  I've got a built one with some of the other custom parts on it, but always wanted to use that front end piece with the headlights under the grille.

I went to an estate sale, and got a load of kits.  A good chunk of my want list has been taken care of, and only went a little over budget.

I managed to snag these resin kits for $16 Canadian each.   I had been collecting parts for a Mercury Speadster, so the transkit will make things much easier.

This was one of my grail kits.  They hardly ever turn up on eBay, and I got this one for $24.

The Olds was the priciest one at $40.

These were $16 each.  I bought a second Packard as a parts car for another project, though I found another partly completed one on a table of $4 kits.

This as also on the $4 table, so I snapped it up.
