I'm not saying they're running crazy sales, but the exchange rate between the US Money Dollar and the Euro is floating around a 1:1 ratio in the first time in forever. The byproduct of that is a drop in what European kits (Revell, Italeri) and aftermarket costs to purchase by a few dollars compared to a year ago.

That's what I figured but wasn't sure.

So I ordered from Pegasus Hobbies on Tuesday (11/15) in the morning and today (11/18) this showed up. Coast to Coast in 3 days, not bad service!

I looked at it briefly, so I can't say what is and isn't warped (hopefully none of it is) but a quick look at the bags and instructions and it looks like a great kit. The plow is bigger than the one in the Revell GMC pickup and there are two plow light options, the round ones shown on the box and rectangular ones like in the Revell kit.

I found this in the attic of my garage today... looks like a great candidate for a rebuilder... as it's all here except the hood, front bumper and air cleaner... im not sure how long it's been there, or who built it... I've only owned this house for 6yrs.

Nice find!👍Did you look everywhere? Maybe there’s more?🤪

Interesting to see the Eckler's Corvette kit. I remember seeing the 1:1 conversions at Corvette shows in the 80s & 90s. Eckler's doesn't even sell any of those conversion kits anymore. But then again they are a shadow of their former self. I may have to get one of those just for the nostalgia factor!

Went to a local model show yesterday and picked up a few things. Corvette promos for $5/ea, the '53 was a pleasant find for the same price. Had been looking for one of the Revell 1/16 spilt window Beetle and scored a great deal on this one. Not pictured- box of old 50s & 60s annual wheels & tires for $3, '61 Galaxie convertible annual interior tub for $1 and a couple bagged kits.

Local Hobby Shop had one of their "Jumble Sales" over the weekend. Which usually means a bunch of dusty old stock out of the back and some kits out of the owner's personal collection. So this is now officially the most expensive piece of styrene I own (although I have a few resin pieces that have cost more). All there and untouched...

Also grabbed some more mundane items.

Got some decals.and parts from LL3 Model Worx for a current build I'm working on. Thank you SO much!!

Also got these in today's mail. A Palmer 68 Camaro. I got it simply for the box art. Very cool!

And I got a 60 Pontiac screw bottom. Been wanting one of these for a long time. This one is in great shape.

Here are my eBay purchases from a seller over the past couple of days. They should arrive by the end of the week. The Pro Street T-Bird has some scuffing on the windshield that will polish out. The Garbage Truck is missing the figures, which is no loss to me. The other  two are still in the bags. All for great prices and free shipping.

Another one for my Atlantis collection - eventually I’d like to build one of each of their car and bike kits I think:

I’m excited to dig into this one (but I’d also kinda like to do their kits in chronological order of release, which means I’m starting with the Cadillac and a couple of the Tom Daniel kits before I get to this…)
