Grabbed this one at the local shop today. Pricey, but I was fortunate to have a discount coupon at hand, making the cost more bearable.

Picked these up at the womens shelter resale shop today. All were built. Whoever built these puts me to shame on paint skills. Roadrunner was missing the side mirrors. Started on the High Roller tonight, it suffered the most damage but appears to be an easy save. Also picked up a nice Harley coffee table book and Paul Newmans the Hustler DVD. All for $30.00 plus tax.

Man, if I can build my t-bird as clean as that one, I will die happy.

Awesome score!

Picked this up yesterday. I have mostly 1/25 scale cars but I figure posing them in this setup will look OK as long as I don't put two different scale cars side by side.

Yes!  1/25 scale cars will look fine in this diorama.   Doll house supplies are available in two sizes... their main size equals 1/12.  Then there is "half scale" which is 1/24!  So that's a place you can look for further accessories.  There are also doll house sites called "Printables",  which are paper items you can print out and use.  You can scale them any way you want.  Good place to find accent bits.

Thanks Tom. I just found David Pirie's thread on his kit. He did an amazing job!

Just arrived in the mail. Both were sealed but the 50 Ford sounded like it had a lot of loose parts rolling around. So I opened both just to be sure. It was the hard plastic tires that were rolling around.

Just picked this stuff up from a buddy last night. Excited about the 62 Bonneville. I'm looking for doors and a trunk lid/rear door for the Thames Panel and Coupe, if anybody has any.

I hit the "Buy It Now" button about a week ago.  I was away on business and my wife said I had received an eBay package that day, and I couldn't remember buying anything!   She knew it was an eBay package because it was completely wrapped in eBay tape.  I have two other Dauphines but not one with a box.  And the two I have have no interiors or glass either.  This one is the full kit.

image.png.b8b7c032bf341f67b9fbc0c7f01cba11.png

Nicely built, not painted. It will go on the shelf and stay in this state until a later day IF and when I decide to do something with it.

I'd never seen the kit instructions nor the plated tree of optional parts.  Those wires are really nice for prehistoric Hubley parts. And I've never seen chrome skis before either!

Here she is with a friend. I've owned the aqua one for a long while.

This LaSalle grille from MCG arrived in the mail today. It's going into another attempt to recreate Jack Odbert's '36 convertible.

Good find, Tom! I've got one I've been messing with (and need a rear bumper for). The chassis has issues I've fixed:

P1140673.JPG.f0e972ec1ccc1cb4b07f41071c44329b.JPG

Cutting out and sinking the front suspension about 1/8"-5/32" lets it sit level, and a lot of trimming and filling got rid of that "udder" in the rear.

P1140676.JPG.09e928ff60477455f7470264f0e3f65f.JPG

Opening up the rear window helped reduce the toylike look...

P1140677.JPG.81a8f65379f6f8c0978dbdb251e61d99.JPG

and I used wheels and tires from the IMC VW with the Hubley hubs. Good luck with the glass - it may be a bit shrunken because Hubley used some sort of acetate.

Have fun with it!

I was given these models and parts today, did not know AMT made a 4 cylinder 32 Ford roadster and the 4 cylinder parts are going to be used to build a 4 cylinder 5 window coupe. There was a built but apart Stutz bearcat and a still in the trees funny car chassis for a 68 to 70 AMX.

Great score on the Bearcat, Jeff! Been hoping one of these would fall into my lap someday.

At the LMMCC meeting a few hours ago I donated the GTX kit to the raffle; happily it went to someone who will build it. My ticket was pulled for this El Camino, plus I paid a whole dollar for the mortal remains of two '60 T-bird convertibles:

Between these and an el-warpo '60 coupe promo, I have nearly enough to make a start on that stretched-wheelbase T-bird flower car I've been thinking about:

All the AMT '32 Ford roadster kits had that 4-cylinder engine, going back to the original issue in 1959.  So if you need another, they're easy to find.

The neat thing about your '32 Ford is the box.  That release was a tie-in with the movie "Bonnie & Clyde," so it's from 1968 and possibly valuable to a collector.

I was at the AMRO contest today, and found some neat pieces for the collection. The Corvette and stock car are draw prizes, while the Charger and the Bug are donor kits (the bug is a complete glue bomb, but it has all the bits I need to finish mine). The MPC Monte and the trucks are good rebuilders, but there was one more model I bought, which will be posted later.

This one was such a find, I had to give it its own post! Definitely the right place at the right time!!! I don’t know if I will do anything with it yet, or pass it along to a friend for his Tom Daniel collection. I’m just happy to say I have actually owned one of these rare beasts.

We had thousands of those on the streets here in the UK in the '60's!

It happened during the middle of the show, when a vendor decided to put out some models that he didn’t have room for earlier. I happened to glance over, and saw the Maverick on top of some kit boxes. I went over and asked the price, and it was reasonable enough for me to hand over the cash without bargaining. As soon as I brought it back to my table, I had a number of guys who recognized it for what it is and where I had found it.
