It would be good to be advised about any necessary prep or post-printing treatments that might be necessary. Isn't there a waxy layer on BMF so that it shines up when you buff it? That waxy layer would inhibit just about anything from sticking to it properly. I've been using BMF since 1970 (when it was first introduced) and never experienced any sort of coating on top of the original chrome BMF. CadillacPat Posted December 8, 2012 Share Posted December 8, 2012 Bright chrome surfaces do not lend themselves well as a background or substrate for showing InkJet Decals. The chrome is actually too dark for good color transfer. Did you try entering your printer settings at Glossy Photo Paper for the slick surface of the BMF??
