Man I love those trucks in any condition.
My grandpa used to have a '49. My cousin and I would always volunteer to load up the trash and take it to the landfill down the road because we got to drive the '49. Sometimes we would even sneak in a joyride, lol. After grandpa passed away my cousin got the truck and lowered it and put a 302 in it and it never moved again.
I have a few of these in 1:1, mine are mercurys though. couple subtle diffences. I will post more pics of this one . it has a modified frame with a camaro clip, blown 4.6 dohc and a 5 speed. interior is all kitbashed it will be inished in silver with red interior.
Looks sinister already.

door panels I made. couple photoetched tidbits to add yet.
engine bay in the rough. due to adding the camaro clip I had to build the inner fenders. it will look a fair bit different soon I hope LOL wheels are from a snap monte carlo with pegasus hoops on the rears
interior just about done.

Looks good and I agree, where did the wheels come from?
thanks guys. the wheels are from a snap tite mote carlo kit. its molded in green I think. the rear ones were put onto pegasus hoops and tires from a wagon rod were shaved inside to fit over. turned out to be a nice package even though it wasnt my first choice of rims.

Which kit is that from?
Which kit is that from?
the interior? the seats are from the revell willys street rod with headrests removed and the aluminum inserts added, console is 05 mustang cut in half to fit the floor and seat riser. the shifter is long pistol grip from 70 super bee. columm and wheel from revell 32 ford with photo etched horn button. dash was filled and redrilled for tubing guage bezels with dodge challenger guages. nav screen is from a new charger kit.I also added a key and keychain to the ignition switch. door panels were made by me out of styrene with the aluminum inserts and photoetched door handles. alot of stuff in there lol too bad when its in the cab you cant see all of it.

got some high build primer on the inner fenders and holes drilled for the intake tubes. getting the front drive sorted out as the SS engine lacks an alternator and some other stuff. hope to have pics this afternoon
This build is looking amazing!

just a quick mock up without fenders to make sure firewall clears engine. I do this several times througout builds. whole thing is built then blown apart to paint and then rebuilt.
