Hows it going guys, I think I'm ready to enter another one. This is a Tamiya F-40 I got cheap off Ebay that I figured would be a great Connonballer.

If you'll have me, I would like to enter a 1958 Chevrolet Impala with a 2005 C6 Engine shoved in.

On the list!

Here's a quickie on the GTX, I got the body straighten out (I think) and gave it a silver base coat. I then proceeded to spray the first of two colors on it. After a lot of arguing and debating with myself I finally choose the colors for it. This first color is Duplicolor Inferno Red which is also a Chrysler color so that's nice. And this is where all the good news ends, after spraying it the doors body and trunk ended up different shades of red and the body has a sandpaper like texture. To make things even better while examining the body my hand just suddenly released it and it dropped hitting the floor. This is starting to become a re-acuring problem for me I lost a nearly finished Daytona (only two parts away) the same way. The good news is this one wasn't damaged beyond repair. Only the driver side post broke so I'll fix that and then see about re-spraying the doors and trunk to try and straighten out this rough body.

Made a lot of progress on the VIper. My goal was to have a chassis before I left for Yuma for 3 weeks. And I did it.

Had some issues with the paint on this one. The orange you see is the third color that has been on it. Started with a burnt Orange then ran out of that before I could paint the rest. Then it went to the green on the hood, and ran out of that. Then on to HUggar Orange, got plenty of that but the green paint didnt settle all the way (painted yesterday) so now there are rough spots. So its got to take a swim. I will take care of that when I return.

It may take me a while with this one, no instructions.

Clay, it's mostly because on race day we create a voting pool to see who wins the Cannonball. Check with Clay, but I think you can continue to build, but only two are eligible to show up on race day.

is there an updated list of participnts that i missed? i noticed the one at the beginning doesn't contain my entry :(

I know there's a few people I'm missing, I apologize so If your not on the list, just remind me what your building please and I'll update it, Been very busy the last few days preparing for a roadtrip to MoparFest.

Rob is correct, you can build another, but only two are eligible for Voting.

Have some progress to show on my F-40. I went all out on the detail (for me) on this motor. I scratch built my own alternator bracket to get rid of Harry's dreaded "floating alternator"! I also built some coil packs and added spark plug wires and covers. Most of the engine parts were flat cleared and I am really happy with how they came out, it really looks like aluminum. Some of the exhaust was painted with a custom mix to simulate what I saw in reference pictures as well. Here are the pics, hope you enjoy! B)
