cobraman
Hey guys. I may be in need of a gasser type front suspension for a 1/16 car I may possibly build. Does anyone know of a kit one or an after market one ? I had no luck searching so far. I have made some 1/25 ones with sheet plastic and aluminum tube for the axel but not sure the plastic would hold up on a larger heavier build. What would be the best material to use for the springs if I have to make them ? Thanks
greymack
Hi there well if your going to build a aluminum straight axle why not make the leaf springs out of the same material or sheet metal?
cobraman
That may be worth a try if I cant find some springs the right size.

Ace-Garageguy
A single strip of .030" brass with eyes soldered or CAA glued to the ends should hold the weight and look close to scale in 1/16. Used for the main leaf, the rest of the leaves could be built up as you would normally, with styrene strips.
