Since Walter posted a couple of shots of his competition coupe, I thought I'd post mine up too.

Anywho, here the description:

Original Sizzler body narrowed (alot!) and yes it's plastic. (orange as a matter of fact!)

Scratchbuilt chassis, bellhousing and blower pullies machined from AL, fuel tank hand made from AL block, scratch build wire wheels up front and resin bear claws in back. AMT Cammer, with Revell blower,

and Mazmanian scoop. Paint is HOK purple (can't remember the color) with green pearl mixed in, then a stripe that's barely visible over the top shot over lace. Cleared with Duplicolor.

WOW, that's a lot of scratch building there, it looks really good. I like the engine detail.

Outstanding Build!!! I really like the scratchbuilt parts you made from aluminum. The tank and pulleys are great, but most of all super job on those front wheels they look extremely good.

Very nice. I see a lot of clean scratchbuilding going on there...the added details are perfect.

I love it! But do yourself a favor (okay, I lied...do US a favor), and try photographing it against a lighter background on off the black base to better highlight your great work.

At a glance it's nice, but looking closer, the added detail and scratch building really distinguishes your build-up! Verrrry nicely crafted!

Very nice coupe! The scratchbuilding is awesome. I can't imagine doing the wheels.

Thanks, I never thought about the background. When I built the model it was to just do it and not make a show stopper ends all model. Just a clean build with some scratch building in the mix. I try to hide the fact that what I do IS actually scratch built most of the time.

Someone else mentioned the wheels, they were a bare and took a couple of atempts before I was happy. I ended up building this model on the way to GSL 3 years ago and actually won in my class. That was a shocker!

Thanks for the comments guys.
