AMT Model T Farm Truck

Howdy,

First time posting here. I usually build airplanes, but occasionally will break up the creative logjam with something automotive.

This is the 1/25 AMT model T. I intended to build the stock closed cab version, but didn't like the way the interior fit inside the body. So, I built a farm truck using Balsa strips and coffee stir sticks (thanks Starbucks!). Weathered the wooden bed with diluted inks. Enjoy!

Very nicely done! I love the old workman modified trucks. It's so Americana

Very cool truck! I like the wooden seat built around the stock cushion. Great weathering - looks like it had a hard life on the farm!

Nice model. I'll bet weathering techniques from aircraft help a lot when you're slumming on an auto.

Nicely done! And good to see that you're getting more "bang for your buck" from Starbucks than their average customer!

Maybe he just replaced the wood after all those years of rotting ;)

Howdy,

Thanks for all the kind comments. The wood actually looks better in person, the photos seemed to brighten it up a bit.
