mr moto
Here's a monument to those kits that sit on the shelf and wait to get built. I bought this one in the 60's (1965?) and finally built it about a year ago. It was on a discount table at a local hobby shop. Low mileage, one owner 1960 Chrysler. It's been mildly customized with parts that came in the kit. Paint is Duplicolor Orange Mist and Duplicolor clear with a Krylon Dover White roof. mr moto
Matt, I checked out your Fotki and I really love your work. I've bookmarked it so I can get inspiration on future builds.
Steve H.
Nice looking old custom! Built the way they should be... With most of the custom parts, but well done!
lizardlust
Nicely done blast from the past!! Somehow, the skirts and disc covers look almost restrained now - of course, they didn't get the honored treatment of using half a tube of glue to install them, followed by a lovingly hand-slathered coat of Red Devil enamel!! bsoder
Now that is just way cool ..great to see an old vintage kit built up and looking fine!!
Peter Lombardo
The build is really nice, but that picture of the box brought back so many memories I can't begin to explain. As a kid, I would rush to the hobby shop to pour through those 3 in 1 AMT boxes. Every penny of my meager allowance went into the purchase of the kits. I wish my mom hadn't trashed them. Well, I have the memories, and every now and again I see the old kits and I'm taken back to a simpler time and a happier place. Thanks for posting it and of course the car.
