Finally got this one finished a few months back after nearly 17 months of building. Very few parts on this were from a kit, so all the scratchbuilding kept me pretty busy. Comments good or bad welcome. post-5297-0-31885800-1358554120_thumb.jppost-5297-0-33282500-1358554167_thumb.jp

Good looking model!!! They were called cherrypickers becuase of how tall they were. Wheels of Time mag, Nov-Dec 2005 had a couple of good articles on them. There were 484 built in the '50's & only about 6 still exsist! Your model is a cool piece of history!

I know all to well how rare these old trucks are haha. It was very hard to find accurate info to build a life like model. I ended up contacting the Mack museum who sent me a stack of sales brochures and spec sheets which meant I could also scratchbuild the chassis and suspension components. The finished result was well worth the research I did though

That's some excellent work right there. Do you have any in-progress shots? WIP shots are like crack to some of us around here. :P

Thanks for the feedback guys. I do have some build progress shots but unfortunately they're on my camera and I'm using my phone at the moment.
