I have a correct wheelbase 1965 Pontiac 2+2 convertible body and I was wondering if the 1965 AMT Grand Prix kit has the correct shorter wheelbase as compared to the 1965 2+2 AMT kit. I know the AMT 2+2 is a Bonneville Thanks

You are absolutely right. I have one of those too. Mine came with a chassis.

That is the one. I was wondering with the shorter wheelbase if the 65 grandprix interior would be easier to woek with.

The 66 2+2 WAS built on the Grand Prix shorter wheelbase, so THAT IS the correct wheelbase.

Nice 2+2; I always thought those were cool.

Ron or David, who made yours?

Shawn Carpenter did mine but I don't think he is doing resin bodies anymore.

Same here for the convertible, and I have a All American 2+2 Hardtop, a Missing Link Bonneville Convertible, and the AMT Bonneville and Grand Prix hardtops in the original annual and Prestige kits.

The problem still remains with ANY A M T Kit concerning a so called 2 + 2. The actual 2 + 2's were built on Catalina Gran Prix bodies . They were a good eight inches shorter than a Bonneville ever was . To do a "Correct " 2 + 2 out of the Bonneville , one needs to shorten the quarter panel area .

THe '65 Grand Prix has the incorrect interior pattern. Th ERTL kit is actually a help there.
