Nxr
Okay i used Round2's re released AMT police interceptor kit, i actually bought 2 of them and got some resin casts for a computer, walkie talkies and a camera to make the 2nd one a crazy California highway patrol car, either way the first car ended up being a basic black sedan, almost a mobster/gangster kind of influence on this one so lets see what it will turn out to in the next week or so if i have time, the wheels i believe are from a 69 galaxie kit, white walls are from old promos, the original wheels in this kit are so lame! They only really work with a police package or some sort of sleeper. This kit will also be placed on a wooden base which i made myself with routing, stain and 2 coats of high gloss polyethylene. This was the influence, saw something very similar outside not long ago (I think Merc Monterey) in all black and well taken care off, inspired me for this build. There are some shots of the body which i painted all the trimmings on.

Edsel-Dan
The Merc looks Like Steve McGarrett's Cruiser in Early seasons of the Original Hawaii Five-O (Jack Lord) This could be Danno's car James McArthur, Not Scott Caan
Ron Hamilton
I like where you are going with this. The black '68 Mercury Park Lane Brougham 4-Door hardtop in the picture is none other than Steve McGarrett's ride on "Hawaii Five-O", or a very good replica. The model you are doing is quite interesting. I have an AMT '70 LTD 4-Door Hardtop (not a Galaxie 500 Sedan) on my desk waiting to be worked over. I have to source a powertrain for it, as it is a curbside kit, as well as add the upper fender mouldings, and a vinyl roof. Mine too will be black-on-black-in-black, with chrome, and whitewalls, just like the one in the '70 Ford brochure, down to the whitewalls and finned wheelcovers. Nxr
Some progress and mock up of what the model will look like, so far so good just some errors with the paint slightly blistering up on the back door area and some chrome paint flakes, but this has to probably be the hardest model to paint trimmings on...
