Dominik
Hallo Buddies, thats my first built of this Year - a rebuild from my brothers Woody, my other wip's take longer to finish. Dropped, broken, hurrahhh... He sent it to me, because i wanted to build a Rat Rod. Hm,....thats the Woody as it arrived: ...and after a quick Paintjob of the fenders and hood, it was so shinie...the thoughts to "rodding" it were blown away. Some glue, paint and detailwork. New stock wheels, some wiring...here is the Result after a seven days of relaxe from other work. Have fun with the pictures say what you think as always. Thank you for your attention. Modlbldr
Very nice save. I just picked up a kit of this from 1974 that was still sealed inside for $4 at a shop in town. Couldn't pass it up for that price. Nice to see you changed your mind about the rat rod. Later-

Lunajammer
Yes, I think it's nicer not being a rat rod. Fun little car. Wagons rule. Good job Dominik.
Dominik
Thank you buddies, i appreciate your comments. As often i look at him, i also think, it was the right way to restore him. Nice. How did you do the woodgrain? This is not easy to explain. The inner timber surfaces are painted with with my airbrush. I used different brown, ocre and darkred from Schmicke Aero colors. Then I painted a clear coat. The "framework" are Tamiya "hullred" with brush. I have been painted rather messy and not opaque to get some kind of grain. The brushwork was always in one direction, along the edge.
