Ramcharger
I've been working on my Gremlin kit for the Ohio Challenge at BSAC's Buckeye Classic on March 24th. It's not exactly class legal for anything (or even track legal) but I'm having fun with it. The motor is set back way too far, it has a scratchbuilt straight axle, It's jacked to the sky in front and slammin' on the slicks for that "cowboy" rake. It has a blown fuel injected Hemi and a 9' rear. The interior is being turned into the motor housing and the driver is hanging out in the breeze a la the old fuel coupes. He does get a funny car cage to protect him in the event of a rollover. This is still in the mockup stage, so there are still a few issues to work out. As always, comments welcome! kobuzz
Looks like it would be quite a handful to drive! To me sometimes its not about being technically correct but about having a good time building. Looking forward to your next update!!
Mooneyzs
This is totally cool and gonna be a great build. Nice start so far. Keep up the great work.
mysterj1
Loving this. As much as I love some of the amazingly realistic builds here, I admit I love when you all put up what I used to call a "junker", a build from this kit and that kit, just what your minds come up with! Good stuff!
vintagercr
Very nice!
aarondupont
Nice build so far! I love different cars. This would probably have fit into the Altered Coupe/Sedan class back in the day. You've given me an idea for another build. Aaron Dupont
W-409
This is Wild, but really Cool! I like the stance on it, wheel and tire choice is just right too. I'm tuned in for more to come.

rmvw guy
You might want to add some wheelie bars. I love it!
Ramcharger
Okayy! Here's an update on the Gremlin from; uh, well, you know where. I worked on the suspension, tie rod, drag link, shocks (in shocking pink!), wheels and tires, and worked on the motors fuel system and corrected the lean of the motor (she was listing to the port side). I used some junk box rod ends from an old Revell funny car kit, whacked them off the rods and cleaned them up a bit, filed down the ends and stick then in stainless steel tubes for my tie rod and drag link. Shocks are from the kit swapped front to rear, and the truck arms are from a junker stock car kit, AMT flavored, I think. The photos tell the story, only a crazy person files down junk plastic rod ends and drills out the other for a plastic "bolt" to hook things up. A couple of more details and I'll mount up the tires, no wheelie bars though, isn't that what a back bumper is for?

Ramcharger
The suspension is done, the motor is mounted, the driveshaft is in, and I'm working on the interior. I found an aluminum Moon tank in my parts box, she's coming along nicely!

Ramcharger
I hooked up the fuel system last night, a moon tank with a vent tube and a line to the fuel pump. I hope to paint the interior tomorrow.

Ramcharger
More progress! I've been working on the interior, I've got the pedals and shifter in place, I have to paint the bottom of the interior bucket before I can glue in the roll cage & seat. I made some headers out of some junk box Revell funny car headers. I added a little artwork to the engine cover, to promote the triple X idea. I Gremlined up a Hey Baby! to give the car some visual interest. She's almost done, it'll be ready to rock at the Buckeye Classic!
Ramcharger
I finished the interior, glued the interior tub to the chassis and added some details. I added a chute lever to the roll cage, throttle linkage, gas and brake pedals, shifter, steering wheel, and seat. I also primered the body, so she is ready for some paint!
