comp1839 Posted June 2, 2013 Share Posted June 2, 2013 aaron, i calls as i sees 'em. the barrel valve just "caught me eye". it looks really good so, i had to ask. one of my pet peaves with the model companies and this has NOTHING to do with any modelers, is, i wish they would produce a believable bug, bird, or buzzard catcher style injector hat for you guys. what they're giving you to work with is just soooo lame. again not anything you guys as modelers did wrong. it's just what the model companies give you to work with. This is going in a Super Street '64 Fairlane. Dale dale, i had know idea the boss 429 was an overhead cam motor. learn something new everyday.................. The OHC engine that Ford made was the 427 cammer built for NASCAR and promptly run over to NHRA by the round track folks who thought it would be too fast. The BOSS 429 and it's derivatives still available today from the aftermarket builders like John Kasse are pushrod engines. The first two is from the Frantic Ford Mustang II and the second two are from the Barry Setzer 74 Vega. Sure was nice to see these beauties in person. I studied them extensively.
