Oh man... I love it! LOVE it! And that dash is so perfect... a beautiful update of the original. Very nicely done.

Just two complaints. One, get rid of the silly scoop business on the sides and you'll clean up the design 100%.

And two... the price!

I agree 1000% Harry! This is probably the best "retro look" I have ever seen. I also agree the side scoops kinda throw it off as well. As for the price... I guess I'll be a dreamer...

That is gorgeous ! Best retro - design of any car yet !

The E - type has always been one of the only British cars I've ever liked . Now , I need to build a 1/25th scale version .

A slight rework of this 2011 Bo Zolland concept, I believe......

If Jaguar offered that car right now at a realistic price, I'd go out tomorrow and buy one.

Too fussy for my tastes -- it looks like a Chrysler Crossfire put through a blender with an XKR. Personally, if I was in the market for a modern take on an E-type, I'd much prefer an Eagle Speedster... (which I would have in a heartbeat if I had the money)

bestest,

M.

OK for this day and age retros but I'd prefer Heritage's restoration of a Series 1 original.

Stuck in the sixties...........

Love it!

Looks like a good excuse to pick up the old inaccurate Monogram 1/24 XKE and start modifying to create one of these in scale ;)

That coupe is absolutely beautiful! I wouldn't change a thing, I think the scoops add a modern flair to a classic design.

You're right, Harry. It doesn't need that scoop .. take $10,000 off for that and maybe it's affordable!

That is a very nice design, they really captured to look perfectly. Everything flows well and has a great overall sleekness to it.

edit: never mind, i actually looked at the original postings link and see this is an aftermarket thing costing upwards of half million, so never mind...

i think this new e type is probably 80K or so, but thats a total SWAG.

Coupe $466,000, convertible $485,00.

Just a tiny bit over 80K.

I always thought the original XKE was ill-proportioned, with the hood/fenders too long, the rearend too stubby, and those pizza-thin (sorry, Harry, not Chicago style) tires and spoked wheels always looked so old fashioned. Maybe it'd look better if someone shortened it a foot?

I like thin crust, too! :D

To me, this updated version looks just right (except for the too-busy side scoops, which I would delete).

But the price is just outrageous.
