Hi,
A little update.

This little rod has a Buick v6 engine i have a engine from a buick model , now it's hard to find a engine like this so i planned to make a mold of it so i can make copie's of it from resin.

resinparts3.jpg
This is the mold i made from silicone rubber.

Well this is what you get a nice copy (white) of the original (black).

I have seen a project log of this show car over on coffin corner2, I wonder if that builder has decided to join our wonderful group of styrene addicts.

Yep thats me :) as you see i,m already on my way but like to explain it here to, i like to share mine tips and tricks also i learn from every forum.

I think model fans should share where ever they can.

Update,

Took the resin engine cut off the transmission and cleaned it.
Then put it together .

The result.

Also made the blower smaller i think the original is a 6-71 and i think this six has a 4-71, well this is the result.

Made all the holes in the engine and dryfit the distributer and the pulleys.

All fit nice now it's time to put some color on this little 6.

Happy building

And starting off with the body (or should i say face ;) )

body-2.jpg
Used some soup spoons to make it a ball figure.

Now lets work on the tube frame.

First i made a plan so i no what i'm doing.
drawing.jpg
The red is the tire.

frame-1.jpg
Working on the tubeframe put it on the drawing see off it fit.

intake2.jpg
I also made the intake (i think ::) ) first draw it on a piece of paper.

intake1.jpg
Then copied it on a piece of styreen.

intake.jpg
And he presto.

dryfit.jpg
I put the parts to see if the scale was right and if it will fit when the time is there.

Ok guy's and girls,
See you next time.

hi guys,

dind't had much time to work on the rod but i made one piece of the frame.

framenew.jpg
This is how the frame is now.
i have to make two of them so start building this week full speed ;)

Also did some work on the engine and blower.
Now i have some real blowerbelts so i want to have some ribbed pulley's
Hard to find on this scale so build it myself.
first did it from styreen rod like this.

eng5.jpg
blowerbelt.jpg

Well i did not like it the ribs are to big so think think think ??? ::) ;D
Then my eye saw this.
scr.jpg
A screwdriver.
This drivers have ribbed grip, so i cut a piece off and with a mill i made a hole in the middle.
eng8.jpg
eng9.jpg
And this is how it looks on the blower.
eng7.jpg
eng6.jpg
And on the engine.

I think it looks ok.

Happy modeling
