Almost complete NY Cop scene

Getting some good figures in a month or so (the ones used are just for scale effect). Just a few bits left to do, like the sidewalk detail, touch ups and weathering. Cop cars have seat belts and buckles added

The only issue I see is the figure you have is dressed in a uniform from the '50's-'60's.

We ditched the blouse, Sam Browne, and crossdraw holster for everyday wear in the late '60's.

The guy in the photo is, I believe from Traffic, hence the boots and breeches.

Everything else looks pretty darn good.

I can hear it now,

" Murphy, there's one darn traffic stanchion in all of lower Manhattan and you hit it. Lad, just how did that happen?"

little bit before. i dont like die cast cars, which is only what i can get for that gen Crown vic. I was more bothered about the damage etc.

The real wrecked car is indeed a traffic unit (as Wayne correctly gathered from the uniform of the officer in the sidewalk). The wrecked vehicle itself is an '05 Vic, but the accident happened within the past few years as there's a slicktop Highway Patrol Charger in the background and those were 2010's.

Serves me right for looking at pics and not reading the text Duh, Wayne.

Yes indeed. Don't get hung up on the chrome grill. NYPD has an ungodly number of marked cars and parts get traded all the time. This is most likely not the first time that particular car has had an owee, hence the chrome grill.

I wore those boots and breeches for three years James, it means only one thing, and that is not invading Poland. :D

I like the diorama a lot. It captures the feel of the pic well.

I like it. Nice detailing. Where did you get those figures, & where are you getting your new ones?

Nice job with the accident damage.

Mass State Police still uses the Sam Brown belt, I think. Perhaps it would be nice to have some newer police/fire figures on the market.

Really nice job so far! This thread is great not only a nice looking diorama, but it's really cool to learn about the time periods of the police cars and uniforms.
