AC Norton
hello everybody, well, this model is the very first piece i have built in almost 10 years. i bought this and a couple of others from my old and dear friend, dave burkit the model king about a year ago. finished it in august 2012, and then on to the next. i must admit, there isn't much to say here, as for other than basic ignition wiring, and some old blue micro scale stripe decals that i've had around for ever, its a box stock build. paint is tamiya yellow,..no clearcote...some polish after it dried,...but thats it. if you have any comments, they are certainly welcome. regards, a.c. the ace. scalenut
very nice , are those the kit injector stacks ? .. mine in the kit were not near as clean
AC Norton
hi andy,...thanks for your question. yes, they are the injectors from the kit. as you know, they are attached to the trees in a way that can make it a bit difficult to remove them without damage. i used a new xacto no. 11 blade, and once removed used some bare metal foil to encircle the bell - tipped top area. then painted them using clear red tamiya spray. i think its just a little time and patience to making them look decent, unless buying spun aluminum ones is your choice. they are nicer, for sure, but they are a bit expensive . hope this helps. a.c. Pete L.
Nice, I especially like your use of the red on the injectors, glass and headlight lenses...it sets off the yellow paint really well. Edited April 2, 2013 by Pete L.
