Yuck. I like the wheels though. Parts kit?

Me too. I dig the wheels. Not sure what else I could rob from that kit.

When the coupe was released (as in your picture), it also included all the stock parts. That included stock rally wheels, hood, and stock exhaust (full pipes to the rear valence, including chrome tips), or plastic plugs to fill in the holes in the rear valence for the custom version. The box described the model as a 2 in 1, and the descriptions on the box listed both options. Maybe the new version will also come this way?

When they did the coupe with those custom parts, all the stock stuff was still in there, and there were rep-stock decals, too. They just made the mistake of not putting a showroom stock photo on at least one side of the box, and lots of folks missed the 2 n' 1 and though that was the only way to build it. All the added parts are on a couple little small sprues that were in a separate bag. The wheels aren't plated, BTW, they're together with the other parts.

That is interesting since the hoods on the coupe & roadsters are no interchangeable.

Why? Because of the "fixes" that were done to the coupe body? Maybe they fixed the convertible, too? (I don't really know what was wrong with it, just always heard that the coupe was better than the 'vert)

Whats wrong with the kit is the side vent window glass frames do not fit and there is no good way to fix em,thats why on this new kit you do not see any. Al

I didn't notice any fit issues with the vent windows on mine...

Beautiful model, but it looks to me like the door tops are a little excessively sway-backed, and the rear of the vent window frames are slightly floating in space.

Looks like the side exhaust from the coupe will carry over and hopefully the fuel injection as well.

If it's like the coupe version the traditional Stinger hood should be included. The Gran Sport hood, headers, side pipes, etc. were on their own trees and were included on top of the stock parts.

Vettes is Vettes. Whatever goofy kustom parts are in the box, as long as the body is righteous and you can build it stock, it's a good thing. You can always throw that screwball hood away!

{The mini-lites look like they'd be okay, once you dechrome them.}

Can't build it stock without the vent windows... ;)
