AMX-1- Decals ?

Recommended Posts

I know I've seen it somewhere,,,,, but can't remember where to save my butt.

I've looked all over Slixx's website and found nuttin that even comes close.

I sent them an email , so only time will tell

I've been all thru Altered States, Slixx, Speedcity Resin, Whoppiecat, Special Appearence , Jack Smith decals and come up blank on them all

Any others ?

BILL, WHO MAKES THE BODY FOR THIS?

I am just going to use a Johan 1969 AMX body from a Shirley Shahan kit. I've already done a test fit on a Willie Borsch chassis and it's a near perfect fit.

The actual car was nothing but an altered under the AMX body

Here is an article I found

Its' my understanding this is the same car , just later in life under different ownership. But to be honest I am not 100% sure of this. There seems to be very little info on the car , other than it was handful to drive and went thru dozens of hired guns to drive the thing ( somewhat typical for an altered)

The green car is the Ron Ellis BB/A (later run as a UDRA gas and alcohol funnycar) from Mich.

This car originally had a 'T' body and was the NHRA record holder in AA/A(called the TRICK T) around 1968-69.

Completely different cars.
