Steve_L
Bare Metal Foil Phobic (Like me)? These items may help. These are Hobby Lobby Embossing Tools (#625269) which I found to be highly useful in applying Bare Metal Foil (BMF) to a model car today. There are four sizes, each of which is applicable to the BMF process. The smallest size particularly helped me foil the trim around the fender wheel wells. The tools are also useful to further shine the BMF after it is applied. Enjoy!
Johnt671
I think I see how to trim the foil using the grooved part to cut the foil, but how do you use it to burnish the foil? This looks like a good tip, so I ordered a set from Hobby Lobby. Thanks.
Guest G Holding
I still use toothpicks...
Harry P.
If you're talking about using them to burnish the foil, I'd be afraid of the tool tips tearing into the foil. I'll stick with a piece of old T-shirt wrapped around a finger.

Deathgoblin
I've got a set of these. I use the smallest diameter one to work the foil into places where I'd be afraid it would tear first, then use something smaller to push it into the corners. They're really handy. PappyD340
I think I will stick with the old toothpick method and I also use the Tamiya tapered Q-tips, I guess it's whatever works for ya!!
