mangodart
Be prepared for ( some say ) the worst US designed car... Personnaly, I like it, it's a very funny car and it sold quite well so seems that it wasn't a so bad idea in his time. So starting with the last AMT reissue, box stock except for the engine which I change for a 232ci 6 in line, I also change the wheels for some mag 500 ( I saved those wonderful kit wheels for an AMX....). I enlarge the chassis to be close to the body, I cut the front bumper and add some round styrene to duplicate the security system. The interior receive some flocking and I add the seat belt; Hope you'll like it
mangodart
Some more pics I forgot to say taht the engine comes from an AMC Pacer from AMT

DrewCfromSC
pretty cool indeed. Had the 1974 Levis edition real car. It had real levis denim interior. It was a fun car to drive too, but rusted away to almost nothing.
Badluck 13
That has to be one of the nicest Gremlin's I have seen built and very refreshing to see a more common six cylinder!!!

smellyfatdude
That's a beautiful Gremlin, mango! Did the red stripe decals come with the kit? The ' 76 Gremlin reissue doesn't have any red ones. Edited May 20, 2013 by smellyfatdude

DR Dubois
Excellent job! Great looking Gremlin but I don't agree with you on one point... this was not the ugliest AMC. That would be the Pacer!! LOL

Thanks everyone for all these kind comments, yes those stripe decals come with the kit, that is the only choice you've got with the 75 model on the kit
LongRoofNut
Man, you did wonders on this kit! Love it!
1972coronet
bbowser
Very nice model. You did a wonderful job, love the 6-banger.
Monty
The kit you started with wasn't exactly AMT's best effort engineering-wise, so you are to be commended for making this build turn out so nicely. Suddenly it's the '70s all over again!
