Great SOD! Looks like you've got several projects that could be kicked through the goalposts without too much trouble.

Remember, the perfect is the enemy of good enough. A flawed but completed model is better than a stalled project that will never be finished. B)

Bought this back in 1997, started building it, then due to work, got out of modelling all together, sold all my unbuilt kits, strangely i kept all my paints and tools, this one somehow found it's way into the attic, and has been up there ever since, totally forgot about it, only found it as we've starting clearing out the attic, I'm going to get it finished.

Just a few from my shelf of doom. The 48 woody was almost finished and nearing completion when the rear pillers broke so its now sitting in primer, and has been for at least 2 years.

Here some of my long going projects, I do have more of them but these are the ones that I have photographed and uploaded.
DSC02936.jpg
Old Esci/Italeri Land Rover, I started it in 2007 I think.

DSC00883.jpg
Revell 54 Chevy that I have tried to make in to a "stock" looking car. Project stranded some ten or so years ago.

DSCN7608.jpg
Old Revell 1:25 VW panel that I started on in ca 2005/2006

DSC00144.jpg
Heller Renault G260 truck, a project I started in 2005. It was almost done and then it fell to the floor and just a month ago I gave the remains away to a friend.

P1100753_zps489c40c2.jpg
AMT Auto transporter trailer that I started to convert in to a racecar team hauler. A massive project that stranded several years ago.

IMG_6890.jpg
AMT "New tool" 57 Chevy, is going to be the car from the movie Return to Macon County. Is a lot closer to being finished than it was when I shot this but still has a lot of work needed.

IMG_7462.jpg
Revells 29 Ford roadster, the project was hot for a short time and then it stalled.

IMG_2743.jpg
Back in 2013 I wanted to build the ugliest hot rod I could imagine, with a Nissan inline six and wheels of a Alfa Romeo touring car. It started out as a Revell kit, will most likely never be finished.

P1090145.jpg
AMTs great 49 Ford, bought as a gluebombfind on Ebay and close to being restored. That was ten years ago and it now sits in a box somewhere.

IMG_5634.jpg
Revells 64 Chevy converted to a K10 with a scratchbuilt rowboat and trailer behind it. This one is so close to being done that I can smell the finishline. All it needs is wipers, mirrors, tailgate locks, licenceplates and a little weathering. Will be done by.......who knows.

P1090140.jpg
Monograms Ford F350 with AMTs Open Road camper. The picture is old and the camper has changed color to silver. The interior is detailed with lots of scratchbuilt items and a couple of figures. I have even built a functioning 1:25 deckchair to be placed on the planned "campers on tour" diorama base I have planned.

IMG_9562.jpg
AMTs 78/79 Ford pickup built as a lifted 4x4 flareside. Is going to get flames on the front end from the white to the red. A littlebit is done sometimes but it is not getting done anytime soon.

So that it some of my stalled and abandoned projects. I do have more of them, at the top of my head I can remember these:
64 Dodge limo (two Lindberg kits)
55 Chevy Suburban (Flintstone resin kit)
Scania 143 tanker truck
AMT VW dunebuggy
Tamiya BMW 320 race car (the E21 wide body kit)
Monogram 53 Chevy (first modelcar I built on my own, I started converting it in to a 90s retro two seater sportscoupe ca 1998)
Tamiya Jaguar mkII race car
and there is probably more of them.

A couple of Trabant's, found them while cleaning out the cupboard in the office/hobby room, I put them away while building a few commission builds  and my memory being what it is  totally forgot about them, need to order some Trabant paint from Germany for the saloon, which I'm building as a deluxe(yes, you got two tone paintwork and a fuel gauge)

Wow, there are some GREAT projects here! This year I've finished two long-stalled projects (20 years or more), plus at least two others that have been on the workbench well over a year--maybe two. Hope to get at least one or two more off the Shelf of Doom before the end of the year.

'62 Imperial. Bought the kit in '79 or '80, then bought the real car and started building the kit to look like it, including dull paint and the dent in the rear door from when the previous owner scraped her house trailer:

Love the Falcon, I have a few that look a lot like that.   I had the famous  "Elusive Falcon Box".   It was a shoe box full of that era Falcons, Rancheros and associated parts that literally disappeared!  It became a running joke at my club.  I thought it had gotten thrown out for sure, and I'd never see it again. Literally gone missing for something like 10 years. But what happens?  When I was moving, I emptied out the model closet and the bottom shoe box was marked "Matchbox Cars".  Upon lifting it I realized it wasn't heavy enough... and lo and behold... there were the Falcons!   It turns out that the box was marked "Falcons" on the opposite end, facing the wall.

Here's a couple '69 Chevies in Fathom Green that have been stalled for a while. I must have painted the Nova sometime before mid-2013, because I bought this computer in mid-2013 and this pic was in the files of the old one. It's Model Master paint. The Camaro was painted in the early '90s with Model Car World paint. I really should try to kick at least one of these through the goalposts before the end of this year.

Hey, maybe we can get up a "Drag One Off Your Shelf of Doom and FINISH IT 2018" challenge? We have two months left in this year....

Come to think of it, I need to drag this '66 Skylark restoration (also last worked on about 2013) across the finish line, too....

Literally and figuratively my biggest stalled project.  Brizio sent me some graphics so I have no more excuses.

Mike Sells made the body and I added a chassis from an American Lafrance ladder truck.  Got to get it done, it has been too many years gathering dust.

Another stalled one is this replica of a '59 Chevy Scout Truck that went through the African continent in '59 and '60 as part of an Airstream caravan. I'm so close, I just gotta get it done.

Pesonally I'd love to see the 40 finished. The lines just flow better than the others to me (but i like the modernised rods more than traditional style)

The '09 Challenger looks like it would be easiest to kick through the goalposts by the end of the year. Take the challenge (no pun intended) and GITTER DONE! B)
