mangodart
Hi guys, so here is my latest, a 73 Javelin from Johan, the Snap kit model. It's kind of simple build, I just pick up the wheels from the AMT Gremlin kit, the mirror are from the AMT Challenger . The gold stripe is from a Fred Cady decals. This kit was a glue bomb when I got it, so I first have to restore it first, put some BMF on the chrome 'cause the quality of the Johan chrome is not that nice, especially when the base styrene is green..... The color is From the AMC color chart, it's called " Fresh Plum Metallic ", I use 2 spray can to have this result which is as close as possible from the reality, first some red paint, then some plum metallic, without waiting the red to dry. Well, so here are the pics, enjoy :

'70 Grande
Emmanuel, That is a very nice "save" of a gluebomb built-up! That paint color looks excellent on this build! Your choice for using the Gremlin's wheels was a good one also; excellent build!
