jathton
I am building a Testors Harley Davidson Road King. The seat and saddle bags are molded in black rubber. Is there a way to stain or paint these parts to alter their surface color?
zenrat
Acrylic paint should work although be careful of flexing the parts too much once they are painted as it might come off. Wash the parts thoroughly before painting. I paint white wall tyres with flat acrylics - enamels never dry on vinyl.
Ace-Garageguy
The spraybomb dyes made by companies like SEM for car interiors will work on molded vinyl parts. It's hard to cover dark colors with lighter shades, but it's possible. Prepare the vinyl parts correctly first.
